Your Reality Is A Screen (Are We Dreaming?)

Picture for a moment your consciousness as a screen. This is no ordinary screen of glass or pixels, but a multidimensional and formless plane, constructed from nothing, but it has to be something right?

I've done a lot of deep reflections about the nature of reality, and the one concept I continuously go back to is that reality is a screen. Another way to think about it, is that our reality is a canvas where the external world is projected in front of us, and we can touch it and feel it and obviously experience it (out there). But is it really out there?

I remember when I was doing a lot of psychedelics a number of years ago, and it would be easy to draw these type of conclusions from those spaces, as it's very easy to see how these concepts about reality can form under the influence of these substances, but I actually don't do them anymore. I've been sober for a long while from everything and I think the real reality is found in your own chemistry, not in an artificial one, even if it comes from plants.

But, onto the main point here. Reality has always felt like an expansive sphere around me. I remember hearing in some spiritual circles that your aura is a 6ft bubble around you, and that increasing your energy is improving the length of distance your energy can project out into the outer world.

I used to do practices like that such as tai chi, and they did help me get somewhere, but I always remember that whatever it is that I was intending to "expand" was my sense of reality, within my current bubble of consciousness.

The thing I've noticed about deepening your consciousness is that you will actually start to go inward (literally). It's as if the physics currently constraining your perception shift and your center of awareness will move into different locations within your energetic field, and at each location, new templates of perception are activated.

I've tended to experience these bubbles as preset and templated energetic systems, as they always have the same form and subtle attributes making them easy to identify. Reality can also feel like an interconnected tunnel system.

Try spending some time contemplating how you perceive the world - the sights, sounds, smells, and all. Where is your mind located? Where are you located?

You'll notice that all these senses converge into a unified field, get filtered and are displayed (somewhere) which is what we call our self in this seemingly magical and dynamic screen of consciousness.

You can also try to focus on the periphery of your vision and you'll notice there are boundaries. Yet, these boundaries are not static; they are fluid, shifting with every subtle movement and blink. This is what I mean I'm talking about reality as a screen.

Whatever you're perceiving in this state isn't just a blackness but a distinct kind of visual experience. It's an internal configuration of all that you are, and is deeply personal. So is reality an interface?

Where is it's origin? How did we come to receive it? It's kinda funny to look at these questions, because how often is society prompting you to look at life this way? We could be shifting the direction, but we'll see.

The thing about reality as a screen, is that while it is a canvas, the questions then begin to shift - what do you want on your screen? What do you want as the movie of your life? Is there a say in the overall theme? Where are the limitations of freewill, and does it even exist at all?

These, truly have been the questions all philosophers have pondered, and perhaps there will never be an answer, as we all know that science is often very limited in it's documentation of the world around us.

I think the future is in allowing technology to guide us to the truthpost, we as humans will just have to get really good at discerning between what's real and fake. However, it's getting even harder to do, with the advances of technology.
