you're giving reality too much credit for being real
I'm realizing more and more that reality isn't quite what it seems. It's like there's this mass illusion we all buy into, and dismantling it feels like unraveling an ancient code. I mean, how else do you explain projecting beliefs onto this hologram we call life and then living in it like it's some fixed point?
Raymond is a multi-disciplinary designer and developer. You'll find him most commonly skateboarding, having a coffee, programming, algorithmic day trading, creating 3D art or working to bring the Reality Designers vision to life.
So the thing about reality is, I've definitely realized that it doesn't need to be real for you. And by "real," I mean this assumed fixed structure where everything has to be exactly as it seems or is presented. It's a bit absurd, though we never question it, right? Instead, we navigate this world as if every inch of it is three-dimensional truth without considering that maybe it's more like a screen, projecting slides of beliefs right onto our awareness.
Or maybe it's just me.
Here's something to chew on: I was once convinced that the physical world was the only truth. You know, tangible, see it, touch it. But wait, what if the architecture of this so-called reality is nothing but a mental construct? I started looking at it like code that someone wrote ages ago, and here we are, running it without questioning the old-ass system we've been handed.
It’s like that outdated software you keep using because, well, everyone else is. But underneath? Hidden variables. Secret scripts.
Psychic tests planted like Easter eggs.
And the interesting thing about that is, once you see it, you can't unsee it, and everything starts to feel adjustable. I think most people miss the fact that nothing has to be static. We've been curated into these versions of ourselves, characters in a game where we didn't even get to pick our stats. That's mainly the media, the endless streams of content, it's like feeding your mind plugins you didn’t really sign up for but here they are, pre-installed.
There was a time, when I was still figuring stuff out, living out of a backpack, that I saw this stark division. The world's chaos versus the tranquility I was trying to cultivate. I mean, I opted out of the whole nine-to-five setup, because why accept someone else's reality design? Instead, I started treating life like an OS, beliefs are the core software, experiences are just apps I can uninstall if they're not doing it for me.
Designing your reality is basically debugging your own operating system. You find the broken beliefs, you patch them, and then everything downstream starts working differently.
Imagine you're coding. One line of code dictates a day, your beliefs the subroutines. And life? More like a set of psychic notificationspost that keep pinging for your attention until you learn to read them.
When you notice them, it’s your chance to adjust parameters, reconfigure settings.
What I've found is, reality tunnels, those invisible filters, shape so much of what you think is real. Your attention decides what's on screen, and by focusing, you're literally coding your own experience. The filters are like those annoying ads on a website you can't quite block until you figure out the right code. It's funny how, once you become aware, those filters start to dissolve, and what's left isn't the chaotic mess you feared, but potential pathways you never considered.
Once you start to break down all this noise, you can't help but see reality as a game with checkpoints, level-ups, and loot you've gotta learn to grab. Like, when you decide to debug your beliefs, maybe what you find is this whole new character you've been evolving without even knowing it. Each time your awareness expands, it's like hitting the refresh button on your consciousness screen. Consciousness as technologypost then becomes not just a cool phrase, but a living, breathing framework.
The thing is, you might not need every plugin the world's installed into your reality. Some of them, you've absorbed unconsciously just walking through life. And now? It’s about picking apart which bits are genuinely you and which are echoes of a borrowed reality you stumbled into.
Does this mean you go around living in la-la land? Not exactly. But there's a balance in understanding that reality can be engineered while living it out authentically. It's this duality, managing both code-side vision and in-the-moment presence.
And that balance is something like a calibration your inner world constantly tunes to stay in sync with the outer facade. Foregoing all that pre-installed junk allows your inner realm to match what you consciously choose to experience.
Here’s a wild idea: maybe life doesn't hand you a manual because unlocking it is supposed to be part of the journey. Scripts reveal themselves to those who dare to explore beyond the default settings. The game mechanics of lifepost insist you keep chasing something, but perhaps it's not the finish line, it's the overlooked nuances that build texture into your day-to-day.
So now, you find yourself wondering about the parameters of your life. What inputs are shaping the outputs? Sometimes, I think of it like an old TV where you have to fiddle with the dials until the picture becomes clearer. All this tuning and recalibrating is part of understanding that reality's so-called solidity is just another belief flipped on its head.
And, who knows, perhaps the next phase is revealing yet another layer beneath our conditioned perceptions.
It's a design within a design, a self-audit loop that leaves you forever intrigued by the endless layouts your reality can adopt. These reflections make me question what's truly real and what is merely a meticulously crafted mirage. I don't know, man. That's kind of it for now.
But still, it makes you wonder, if this is all so fluid, what's holding it together? Or better yet, who gets to decide?
