the algorithm is curating your reality, but you can change that

I've been thinking a lot about how reality is kind of like your personal algorithm. It curates what you see based on what you've been paying attention to. The problem is, it's not always showing you what you actually want or need.

Raymond is a multi-disciplinary designer and developer. You'll find him most commonly skateboarding, having a coffee, programming, algorithmic day trading, creating 3D art or working to bring the Reality Designers vision to life.

So here's the thing about how reality seems to shape itself around us, it's not just passive, it’s actively curated by what you focus on, like a never-ending algorithm that keeps deciding your path based on preferences you might not have consciously set. It's wild, right? This idea that your awareness is the screen and your beliefs are the slides, projecting onto it. That's your reality, curated by your attention.
If you've ever gone shopping online and suddenly your social media feeds are filled with ads for similar products, you know how technology mirrors this concept. But it’s not just tech; it’s life. Your life is doing the same thing, bringing you more of what you tolerate, what you think about the most. You indulge that thought about scarcity, and suddenly life's showing you more lack to confirm it.
It’s both disturbing and fascinating how it reflects what's in your head.
And the thing is, I mean, this isn't just about being aware, but about actively debugging your life. Think of it like your operating system, with beliefs as the OS. You can actually go in there, find the bugs in your beliefs, patch 'em up, and boom, everything downstream changes. But no one tells you that, right?
You see, designing your reality is basically debugging your own operating system. You find the broken beliefs, you patch them, and then everything downstream starts working differently.

Remember when I was younger and decided to just go the unconventional path? Like, instead of going to college, I chose being homeless, or, well, I started businesses. It's because I realized reality can be designed, and I just had to hack into mine. There's no linear path, and here's the kicker: No one's gonna do it for you.
Not your parents, not your teachers. It's totally on you, and once you get that, you're already ahead.
And the interesting thing about that is, it’s not about motivation. We've all had those moments, you know? One minute you're pumped up watching some motivational video, and the next, you're back to scrolling aimlessly through Instagram. You don’t need more motivation; you need frameworks.
You gotta self-audit your life like you're debugging code. Ask yourself: What’s not working? What needs a patch? That’s when things start to shift.
A lot of folks talk about self-actualization, but it's kind of like a silent movie unless you focus on the dynamics of your personal reality tunnel. We’ve all got these hidden filters that shape our perception, the input layer of your life, if you will. What’s crazy is that most people don’t even know it's happening. These are like these invisible parameters you can adjust.
Change a setting here, shift a belief there, and suddenly you’re not living the default version of life anymore.

Designing your reality is basically debugging your own operating system. You find the broken beliefs, you patch them, and then everything downstream starts working differently.

But here's where it gets weird. You start realizing that life kinda adjusts to what you’re developing internally. Like, you work on being more empathetic, and suddenly people seem kinder, more open. It’s not that they changed, but your perception filtered them differently.
It’s a game with hidden variables and psychic tests that life throws at you to see your growth level.
That’s what reality design is about, moving beyond the default. It’s not about ignoring what’s out there. I mean, sure, things are happening globally, but so much of it is just an abundant overlay to make it seem interesting. If you just peeled it back, you’d see that what's out there isn't as necessary for your growth as you might think.
Trust me, I used to think that way, but the deeper you dive, the simpler the game becomes.
There's a point where you notice how your reality is updating itself automatically. Ever felt like you're acing some invisible psychic test, and life just flips to a new level? I had a moment like that when I finally stopped chasing validation. Suddenly, my freelance gigs started landing more easily, felt like a game where I jumped to a higher level just by adjusting a few inner parameters.

It’s all essentially a construct. Like how you don't need to express every thought on social media, reality's not waiting for you to showcase every achievement to validate it. When you configure your life with clear settings, you start seeing how much easier it gets when you stop trying to live up to an algorithm you didn’t design.
Here’s a practical twist: When you go about your daily grind, start by asking what plugins you've installed into your reality thinking you need them. Is it a career choice? Is it a relationship? Sometimes you need to uninstall the default apps life gives you to make room for what's actually important.
And it's funny how your psychic notifications change when you do this. Instead of vague anxiety, you start getting clearer signals, as if life itself is sending you updates about what's coming. It’s like getting notifications that tell you to brace for a new challenge or relax because you’ve got this next part covered. You just have to learn the language.
When I realized I could debug my beliefs, things didn't become easier per se, but they definitely became clearer. And the surprising thing? Once you start designing your own reality, you begin to see the configurations and parameters everyone else is set to. It's like seeing the matrix code behind everything.
Suddenly, you're not just playing the game, you're shaping it.

It's kind of liberating. Not everyone gets it, and that's okay. You’re not here to fix anyone else’s algorithm. It’s yours that counts.
Maybe all this stuff sounds kind of out there, but if you’re anything like I was, young, maybe a bit lost, but sure there's something more, you should know it's not about what's "out there;" it's about what's inside you and how you decide to project it on your screen.
And this opens a whole new direction I’m starting to explore. How does technology factor into our spiritual growth, really? Could coding actually be a spiritual tool in figuring out what’s real and what’s just noise? I don't know yet, but I'm diving into it.
Maybe that's the next layer of this game we call life.
