designing your reality isn't rocket science, but it might as well be

You ever have those moments when you realize that life's just another operating system you can tweak? It's like your beliefs are running in the background, silently running everything. And sometimes, the code is just...broken.

I've definitely realized that life, like, isn't as complicated as we often make it out to be. I mean, it's really just this ongoing process of configuration and reconfiguration, something like coding but instead, you're tweaking reality. And the thing is, we've been conditioned to think that reality is this fixed thing, right? But it's not.
Just like your phone's OS can be upgraded, your personal operating system can too. It's the whole idea that your mind's a projector, casting onto the screen of your awareness whatever slides you've got loaded in.
And that's not just some abstract metaphor. It's hugely practical. Take a moment and think about the narratives you absorbed as truths; those are basically the apps running on your mind's OS. They're either serving you or bogging down your system.
When I was younger, I hit rock bottom more than once, homeless, jobless, and carrying all this mental junkware. But you know, once I treated my beliefs as code to debug, everything shifted. Suddenly, the world's a sandbox and not some walled garden.

So let's talk about the psychic tests life throws at you. Imagine them as pop-up notifications that you're not quite sure how to dismiss. I remember getting sucked into these societal narratives that dictated success means a steady job, a house, all that. But once I opted to hit "Remind Later" on those psychic tests, I saw that these were just outdated protocols.
And the interesting thing about that is, once you ignore a few updates, reality starts behaving differently. It's kinda like unplugging from a system that wasn't built with your code in mind.
When you start peeling away those layers, it's almost like debugging. You pinpoint the subroutines that aren't functioning right, then rewire them. " It starts with a self-audit. Look at your beliefs like lines of code waiting to either function as intended or throw an error message.
When one of my businesses failed, I could have let it define me. But I looked at the code, figured out the error, and got back to building. It's the most liberating feeling to realize you're not a passive observer but an active developer of your own life.
I've found that when you deliberately choose where your attention goes, it's like activating the input layer of your reality. It's not just about what you look at, it's what you engage with. Imagine scrolling through your reality like a social media feed. You wouldn't stick around on a post that doesn't interest you, right?
Same with life. When you're conscious of your attention, you're basically directing the flow of your experience.

And here's where it gets really fascinating: when you understand that the algorithm of life is curating you into the person you don't even wanna be, you become hyper-aware of the plugins you're installing. Are they contributing to your reality design, or just slowing you down? Think of all those external validations, likes, follows, whatever, as unnecessary plugins that clutter your real operating system. They're attachments that aren't adding any genuine value to your life's architecture.
Once, I had this urge to follow the typical career path. It was like my internal algorithm was pulling in data from everyone else’s code, and man, it felt like my system was on the brink of crashing. Only when I stripped those external plugins and began focusing on what actually lit me up did everything start to flow. It was then that I realized: nothing out there requires your attention unless you decide it does.

Designing your reality is basically debugging your own operating system. You find the broken beliefs, you patch them, and then everything downstream starts working differently.

So, let's branch off into the idea of perception filters, like how you perceive the world directly impacts your coding. Imagine these as hidden parameters set by default. They're customizing your reality and you have no clue they're even there. You've heard of the term "reality tunnel"?
It's like these funky glasses you put on, and everything gets filtered through that lens. The real trick is swapping out these filters when they no longer align with the game you want to play.
When I started recognizing these patterns, it felt almost like a cheat code had been entered into the game of life. I suddenly realized, hey, I can switch this up. I can update the firmware of how I see things! But here's where most people get stuck: they're not even aware these options exist on the settings menu of their lives.

You start asking the real questions after this realization: Why am I still running outdated software? Why am I letting these invisible forces decide my experience? Let me tell you, when I decided to stop conforming to the default and started consciously designing my reality, it was as if someone had turned a dimmer switch up on my awareness. Everything just became...
brighter?
And then there's character development, which gets overlooked but is so pivotal in the game of life. Think of it as evolving your core user profile. You pass these hidden psychic tests, and suddenly, you unlock new abilities. It's not unlike leveling up in a video game, really.
You'll find that as you grow, the tests also adapt to your latest upgrades. That's life dynamically adjusting, presenting new challenges tailored to your expanded status.
When you think of consciousness as technology, I can't stress enough how significant it is to understand your own operating system. It's not just about knowing your software version; it's about grasping what apps are running in the background and which need updating or removing. It's kind of a funny parallel to life itself, everything's about those plugins, parameters, and constant updates. At the end of the day, nothing out there requires your attention unless you say so.
As this stream of thought churns onward, I'm starting to wonder how the next layer of reality might unfold once we fully embrace this design ethos. Could we eventually reach a point where the collective firmware gets a universal upgrade, or maybe, we're destined to continuously debug in this individualized sandbox we're calling life? There's something endlessly intriguing about the possibilities that lie beyond even this understanding.
